All about me

My name is Ruth and I have worked as a speech and language therapist for over 15 years. During this time, I have worked with children and young people with a variety of speech, language and communication needs including severe and complex needs, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Natural Language Acquisition (aka Gestalt Language Processing), Stammering, Developmental Language Disorder, Speech sound disorders and Dyspraxia, feeding and swallowing difficulties, and those with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs

I work closely with parents/carers, schools and settings and other professionals to provide highly comprehensive online assessments and reports that can be submitted as part of the annual review process, Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) applications and tribunal process.

I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful children, one of whom has Autism and Speech and Language difficulties but both of whom have helped shape me as a therapist.

I am a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and a qualified Makaton tutor.
